Get more out of life with NDIS

The Federal Government's National Disability Insurance Scheme provides long term support for people with significant disabilities, including physical and mental issues.

Open to people aged 7 to 65, it's a huge step forward in supporting people with disabilities to have control over their care, grow and live their best lives.

Common disabilities that can qualify for NDIS include intellectual disability, autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, some genetic conditions, spinal cord or brain injuries resulting in paraplegia, permanent blindness, permanent bilateral hearing loss and amputation.

There are three types of support budgets that may be funded in an NDIS plan:

Core Supports budget

Capacity Building Supports budget

Capital Supports budget

NDIS is probably the biggest single government initiative ever undertaken in Australia. It can be a bit complex to navigate so you get the best out of it.
